The X Legion of Ferrus Manus, who replace weak flesh with bionics, a creed hardened by grief after their Primarch's death at Isstvan V.
Eye of Medusa — The Keys of Hel, Moirae Schism & Kristosian Heresy
Known during the Unification Wars as the 'Storm Walkers' before uniting with Ferrus Manus on the tectonic waste-world of Medusa, the X Legion suffered a psychological trauma at the Drop Site Massacre from which it has never recovered. Convinced that Ferrus Manus died on Isstvan V because his fiery human emotions overcame cold logic, the Iron Hands turned their Primarch's warning against excessive bionics on its head—viewing biological flesh as a disgusting moral failing that must be systematically amputated and replaced with cold iron and machine-spirits.
Governed not by a single Chapter Master, but by the 'Iron Council' of forty-one Iron Fathers representing ten independent Clan-Companies inside giant crawler-fortresses, the Iron Hands guard forbidden resurrection technologies ('The Keys of Hel') that even Ferrus Manus locked away under pain of death.
Sub-Factions, Secret Orders & Classified Relics
- The Helfathers — Enormous, silent Terminator-armoured guards of the Iron Council who never speak, never remove their helmets, and have no heartbeat—animated by forbidden cyber-necromancy.
- The Sons of Medusa (Moirae Schism Exiles) — Founded in M35 after a massive religious schism over the prophetic 'Moirae Tech-Creed' (which claimed the Astronomican's fluctuations contained mathematical prophecies of the future); instead of executing their rebel brothers, the Iron Council exiled them as a recognized Chapter.
- Clan Raukaan, Clan Avernii & The Red Talons — Major Medusa Clan-Companies and Autek Mor's notoriously brutal Second Founding successor Chapter.
