An Imperial Fists successor Chapter that survived near-annihilation on Rynn's World and rebuilt itself.
Ruins of the Arx Tyrannus — Rynn's World & The Daemonbane Archive
Founded after the Horus Heresy from the younger, more level-headed warriors of the Imperial Fists under Alexis Polux—the hero of the Battle of Phall who formed an unlikely brotherly bond with the Ultramarines Warsmith Barabas Dantioch—the Crimson Fists take their name from the ancient 'Ritual of the Bleeding Fist', in which Rogal Dorn and Polux cut their palms and clasped hands in blood.
For nine thousand years the Chapter served as the Ordo Xenos's premier Ork-hunters across the Loki Sector from their fortress-monastery, the Arx Tyrannus, on the agri-world of Rynn's World—until 989.M41, when an Ork Waaagh! under Warlord Snagrod triggered a catastrophic misfire in the monastery's own surface-to-orbit defence missile. The warhead looped back and detonated inside the Chapter's own subterranean magazine, vaporizing 600 Space Marines, the entire Reclusiam, and ten millennia of relics in a single heartbeat.
