The setting

It is the 41st millennium, now moving into the 42nd. Humanity's Imperium spans a million worlds, ruled in the name of an Emperor who has sat dying on the Golden Throne for ten thousand years. It is beset on every side by the daemonic powers of Chaos, ancient xenos empires and hungry alien swarms.

The backstory

Ten thousand years ago the Horus Heresy shattered the Emperor's Great Crusade. In that civil war, half of his twenty Primarch sons turned traitor. Most of today's feuds, hatreds and legends trace back to that betrayal.

The present day

Abaddon's 13th Black Crusade broke Cadia and tore the Great Rift across the galaxy. Roboute Guilliman has returned as Lord Regent and launched the Indomitus Crusade. That is the "Era Indomitus" you will see throughout this site.

Every character page follows the same layout: overview, a Most Brutal Moment, origins, key events, battles, personality, connections, legacy and appearances. Where official sources disagree or lore has been retconned, a "Contested lore" box says so instead of picking a side.
