Lore & origins

Born in the fourth generation of a Genestealer Cult's reproductive cycle—almost indistinguishable from baseline humanity save for a hairless cranium and hypnotic eyes—the Magus is the spiritual voice of the Patriarch. Acting as the charismatic high priestess or labour demagogue of the cult, a Magus infiltrates planetary courts, Administratum spire-choirs, and PDF command staffs. Through subtle telepathic Broodmind suggestion, she convinces millions of imperial citizens that the approaching Tyranid Hive Fleet is a benevolent Star-God coming to deliver them.
