Farsight Enclaves · Lore of the Warp

Breakaway T'au colonies beyond the Damocles Gulf ruled by Commander Farsight, independent of the Ethereals.

Vior'los & Arthas Moloch — The Dawn Blade, The Eight & Break from the Ethereals

Born on the fiery Shas world of Vior'la and trained alongside Commander Shadowsun under the legendary Commander Puretide, O'Shovah ('Commander Farsight') led the 'Farsight Expedition' across the Damocles Gulf to reclaim worlds lost after the Imperium's Damocles Crusade. On the dead crone-world of 'Arthas Moloch', Farsight's expedition unearthed a terrifying truth the Ethereal Caste had hidden from the entire T'au species: the Warp was inhabited by sentient, malevolent Daemons that slaughtered every Ethereal accompanying Farsight's fleet.

Taking up an ancient xenos chronophagic sword ('The Dawn Blade') from the ruins of Arthas Moloch, Farsight suddenly felt the Ethereals' pheromonal brainwashing lift from his mind. Realizing the Ethereals were keeping the T'au in infantile ignorance, Farsight refused to return to T'au, establishing the 'Farsight Enclaves' across four worlds (Vior'los, Lub'grahl, Tinek'la, and Salash'hei) where each Caste governs its own planet in freedom.

Sub-Factions, Secret Orders & Classified Relics

The Eight (O'Shovah's Inner Circle) — Farsight's seven closest companions in red-painted Crisis, Broadside, and Riptide Battlesuits: Bravestorm (interred in a Dreadnought-like life-support suit), Brightsword (a succession of seven clones!), O'Vesa (a 300-year-old Earth Caste scientist in a Riptide), Sha'vastos, Ob'lotai 9-0 (a full AI engram!), Torchstar, and Arra'kon.
The Four Enclave Worlds — Lub'grahl (Earth Caste world), Tinek'la (crystalline Water Caste world), Salash'hei (oceanic Air Caste world), and Vior'los (Fire Caste capital).
Gue'vesa Worlds of the Enclaves — Independent human worlds within the Enclaves protected by Farsight's fleets.

Inquisitorial & Forge World Dossiers

Without Commander Farsight ever realizing it, the 'Dawn Blade' he claimed from the altar on Arthas Moloch is a chronophagic weapon forged before the Imperium; every time Farsight kills a living enemy with the blade, the remaining years of that victim's natural lifespan are added directly to Farsight's own life—explaining how a T'au (whose natural lifespan is barely 45 years) has lived for over three centuries without stasis. Of Farsight's elite bodyguard, 'The Eight', Commander Brightsword is actually the seventh consecutive genetic clone of the original Brightsword secretly grown by Earth Caste genius O'Vesa, while 'Ob'lotai 9-0' is not a living T'au at all, but the ninth iteration of Farsight's original mentor uploaded into a Broadside Battlesuit as a sentient AI. During the 'Arks of Omen: Farsight' campaign on Arthas Moloch in M42, Khorne himself attempted to corrupt Commander Farsight into a Khornate champion—showing him a vision of himself clad in brass daemon-armour slaughtering the Ethereal Council—before Farsight mastered his rage and rejected the Blood God's bargain. After the Second Battle of Agrellan, Farsight voluntarily went into solitary desert exile so the Ethereal Supreme Aun'Va would agree not to abandon the Enclaves to Hive Fleet Leviathan—only to break his exile when the Great Rift opened. Source: War Zone Damocles: Mont'ka (7th Edition)
